Sett Supports the Little Germany Theatre
Sett is delighted to support the Little Germany Theatre, a project based at the former Bradford Playhouse premises seeking to breathe new life into this historic venue.
Rob Walters, Managing Director of Sett, and Chair of the Little Germany Theatre said "In moving to Bradford, Sett made a commitment to the city, both to grow and develop our own business within the city and to support other organisations within our home city.
"When Bradford Playhouse, with history spanning over 70 years, entered liquidation on 21st September I couldn't simply stand by and watch - something had to be done.
"We formed Little Germany Theatre to operate the venue under license from the liquidator, assuring the immediate future of the theatre. After 3 months of successful trading, honouring all events, we can now look to the future and seek to build on this strong start. We're keen to work with individuals and organisations - commercial and not for profit - who share our commitment both to this venue and the wider Arts in Bradford."
Sett is delighted to support the Little Germany Theatre, both through Rob Walters' time and wider in kind support.
"Involvement in a community organisation is an extremely rewarding part of my week", said Rob Walters of the experience. "I'd warmly encourage other professionals to give up some of their time to contribute to organisations in the Arts or charitable sector. Organisations such as Arts and Business, or Business in the Community, can match businesspeople to opportunities which can help make best use of their skills. In this climate of cuts and economic austerity, many third sector and community organisations are facing difficult times, so the help of an experienced businessperson can be invaluable."
