Yes — an initial consultation is always free. After that, we’ll provide a proposal and quotation. In some cases, it’s not possible to quote for an entire project upfront; where that applies, we’ll quote the early stages and provide estimates for later phases.

Our services are always tailored to your needs, timescales, and budget — we aim to provide the best solution possible within your available resources. If a project can’t be completed within your timeframe or budget, we’ll help you prioritise what matters most and explore other options, such as available funding or open-source alternatives.

Yes – absolutely. We can deliver a full range of services, from your initial idea through to ongoing monitoring, maintenance, support, and operation. Alternatively, you can pick and choose the services you’d like us to handle, or we can work alongside your own team. The choice is entirely yours.

Yes - we work internationally. We've worked across 4 continents to date, and always keen to broaden our horizons to new regions and countries. Whilst we're always available to meet face to face or to talk by phone, we can do most project work via online collaboration such as Zoom, Teams etc should you wish.

We're always happy to sign an Non-Disclosure Agreement before entering into detailed discussions. If you have a template you'd like us to consider, please send it over - otherwise, just ask for ours, ensuring all discussions are confidential.

Absolutely! We've worked across a range of innovative technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, facial recognition, biometrics, advanced user interfaces, offline web applications, automation and much more. An area we particularly enjoy is taking research concepts to minimum viable product and beyond, and commercialising academic research. Where your project falls outside our expertise, we partner with other organisations and freelancers, or can signpost you to resources which can help.

Where your data is stored is entirely up to you — on-premises, within your own hosting, or through our managed infrastructure, in almost any country you choose. As part of every project, we’ll discuss appropriate levels of security, resilience, and disaster recovery. We use modern threat-detection and response technologies and can align to standards such as PCI DSS. Where required, we can also connect you with independent penetration testers or security assessors to validate our work.

We’re open to most types of projects, and we love variety - but we do decline work that falls outside our expertise, conflicts with our ethical standards, or involves illegal or harmful activity. If a project isn’t the right fit, we’ll always be upfront and, where possible, point you towards other organisations or specialists who can help. We also occasionally reach full capacity, especially for projects requiring specialist skills. If we can’t accommodate your project right now, we’ll offer you a future slot or recommend trusted partners who may be able to assist.
